Key dates of the Competition

01 Team competition

Team Competition rules

  • The Team Competition event will be held at 313 cable park on June 7th, Saturday.

  • Only athletes who have received an invitation will participate (32 men and 16 women).

  • The event will continue from June 1st to June 8th (training, joint activities in Palanga, etc.). Participation is mandatory only on June 7th, during the event.

  • The prize fund will be announced at a later time.

  • The athletes will compete in four-on-four team duels.

  • The competition is held in a best-of-three format: First Match, Second Match, and if the score after Second Match is 1:1, a Tiebreaker match is held.

  • If the cable stops during the competition due to technical issues, athletes will return to the start dock, and the run will be repeated from the beginning.

Process of Team Competition

  • All athletes will draw their opponent before the finals.

  • The competition commences with the women's team runs until the two best teams are determined and then continues with the men's runs until the two best teams are identified. After that, the women's team final takes place, followed by the men's final.

  • During the competition, two athletes of each team will ride simultaneously. Athletes ride on alternating carriers: 1, 3, 5, 7.

  • The First Match begins with two athletes selected from each team. After the First Match, a Second Match takes place with two other athletes selected from each team. If the score after the second match is 1:1, a Tiebreaker Match is held, and each team can delegate athletes of their choice.

  • Each athlete in each Match ride two laps.

  • Each Match will start with the figures behind the kickers and end finish with an air trick. Athletes can perform kicker tricks twice.

  • If an athlete falls during the first lap of Match, their teammate can join the fallen teammate’s carrier and complete the run instead.

  • Athlete can also strategically release the handle in the air trick zone, allowing their teammate to take over the run. If an athlete wants to switch with another teammate, they must signal the marshal before reaching the 4th tower.

  • If an athlete takes over a run after a fall or a strategic release, they begin their lap with a kicker.

  • Points earned up to the fall are counted towards the overall First Match score.

  • The lap is divided into five zones judged by five separate judges.

  • The judge will score both laps of the raiders in his / her zone and record the results of the better attempt on the evaluation table.

  • The judge, having compared the better laps of the raiders, will vote for the winner team of his / her zone.

  • The team with the most votes from the judges will be declared the Match winner.

  • The team who wins 2 of 3 Matches procced to the next stage.

  • Winners of the team duels will proceed to compete in a playoff format against winners from other team duels.

Invitations

  • Invitations are awarded following a closed discussion by the organizers' committee. Various factors are taken into account, such as the athlete's career, progress, reputation, influence on wakeboarding culture, or recent impressive performances. The invitation may be given to both rising stars or experienced veterans. The decisions made by the competition’s organizing committee are final and non-negotiable.

02 Best Air Trick & Best Line competition

Best Air Trick & Best Line competition rules

  • Best Air Trick and Best Line competition will be held at 313 cable park on June 6th, Friday.

  • Lithuanian nationals and foreigners are eligible to participate.

  • Anyone over the age of 14 are eligible to participate.

  • Participation is free of charge.

  • In the Best Air Trick Competition, women and men athletes ride together, while in the Best Line Competition, they compete in separate categories.

  • Riding is done in subgroups.

  • Athletes are evaluated by points.

  • Registration is required by June 4th, Thursday.

  • The number of places is limited. 30 men and 20 women will be eligible to participate in the Best Line Competition, while 20 athletes will be eligible to participate in the Best Trick Competition.

Process of Best Air Trick

  • Athletes will be divided into four groups of five athletes.

  • The top three athletes with the highest scores from each group will advance to the second stage. In the second stage, there will be two new groups of six athletes.

  • The top three athletes with the highest scores from each group will advance to the final stage.

  • Each athlete will complete two laps per round in their group.

  • Judges will rate both Air Tricks separately.

  • The athlete who receives the highest score will be announced as the winner.

Process of Best Line competition

  • Female athletes will be divided into four groups with five athletes in each group. The three strongest athletes with the highest scores from each group will advance to the second stage. Two new groups of six athletes will be formed in the second stage. The three strongest athletes with the highest scores from each new group will advance to the finals. In the final one athlete with highest score will be crowned the winner.

  • Men athletes will be divided into six groups with five athletes in each group. The three strongest athletes with the highest scores from each group will advance to the second stage. Three new groups of six athletes will be formed in the second stage. The tow strongest athletes with the highest scores from each new group will advance to the finals. In the final one athlete with highest score will be crowned the winner.

  • The competition commences with the first stage of the women’s runs. Once the first women’s stage is completed, the first men’s stage will begin. After the first men’s stage, the second stage of the women’s runs will take place, followed by the second stage of the men’s runs. After the second men’s stage, the finals will commence. In the final, women will compete first, followed by men.

  • The athletes will ride one lap twice in each round in their subgroup.

  • The judges will separately score both laps done by the rider, which will start with the figures behind the kicker and end with a trick off the kicker.

  • Only one athlete's lap with better scores by the judges will be recorded on the tournament table.

  • The athlete who receives the highest score will be announced as the winner.
